Luncheon Honors Parents Who Have Endured Child Loss

Angel Names Association to hold its annual Luncheon to honor parents and remember children.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY, May 20, 2010 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- Angel Names Association (ANA), an area nonprofit association that assists families of stillborn children, will host its third annual Still Parents Luncheon on Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m., at Longfellow's Inn and Restaurant in Saratoga Springs, NY.

The luncheon is designed for families who have endured pregnancy loss and infant death, as well as community members whose lives have been impacted by these experiences. It will acknowledge mothers and fathers.

Too often bereaved parents are ignored during holidays that honor parenthood. Instead of being solely reminiscent of times spent with their own parents, these days may also now serve as reminders of the life and dreams they have lost.

"We scheduled the luncheon near holidays that traditionally honor parents," said Michelle Mosca, ANA cofounder and president. "Parenthood is not temporary - once we become mothers and fathers, we remain so even after our children die. This luncheon enables us to remember all parents," said Mosca.

The luncheon will also provide a way for family and friends to acknowledge bereaved parents and the children they have lost; and give healthcare providers — midwives, gynecologists, hospital staff, funeral directors, etc. — the opportunity to support families with which they have experienced pregnancy loss and infant death.

Tickets for the luncheon are available for a minimum donation of $25 in advance and $30 at the door; children $12 and $15 at the door. The ticket price includes choice of entree, nonalcoholic beverage, dessert and gratuity.

All proceeds from the luncheon will be used to fund ANA programs for bereaved families.

For more information or to reserve your ticket(s) for the Still Parents Luncheon, visit ANA online (angelnames.org) or contact Michelle Mosca at 518-654-2411 or mgmosca@msn.com.
