Seahawks Fish & Feast Fundraiser Great Success
Players, coaches, and Sea Gals fished with 20 special needs children for C.A.S.T.
RENTON, WA, May 29, 2010 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- The fourth Annual Seahawks Fish & Feast Charity Fundraiser raised more than $20,000 for the C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation. Twenty local disabled or disadvantaged children received a once in a lifetime experience on a guided fishing trip with a Seahawk player, coach, or Sea Gal last Sunday. The event is structured to emulate an actual C.A.S.T. event with a twist of celebrity.
Seahawks G Mitch Erickson, DE Ricky Foley, LS Matt Overton, T Joe Toledo, CB Josh Wilson, Quality Control/Offensive Line Coach Luke Butkus, Tight Ends Coach Pat McPherson, Asst. Strength and Conditioning Coach Jamie Yanchar, Sea Gal Tiffany, Sea Gal Danielle, Sea Gal Kim, and Sea Gal Stephanie went fishing with families from the Renton School District Special Education Program and other local children's organizations.
The event was made possible by the generous contributions from the following sponsors; Presenting sponsor Pinnacle, An American Management Company, Seahawks, Siemens, First Savings Bank Northwest, Ombrella, Argosy University, Amdian, and Prop Gallery.
After fishing on boats, the kids and other participants were able to fish from a stocked on-shore fish tank provided by Troutlodge and partake in football related kids games. Famous Dave's BBQ provided lunch. Seahawk's mascot Blitz and Blue Thunder made special appearances.
