Bright House Networks Presents Rock For Research
Charity concert will benefit Miles for Hope, a national organization dedicated to funding cutting edge brain tumor treatments and research that provide a better quality of life for patients suffering with this disease.
CLEARWATER, FL, July 09, 2010 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- Bright House Networks, in collaboration with Miles For Hope, will bring together 9 bands for one day on July 24th at Jannus Live in Downtown St. Petersburg, FL to raise awareness and funds for brain tumor research. Ins and Outs, Make the Mountain, Drew Street Mary, Stained Angel, Rise of Saturn, Southside Serenade, Ken Apperson, Trace of Day and Not Tonight Josephine will take the stage beginning at 3pm. The concert will run until midnight. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door and are available at www.MilesForHope.org.
Brain tumors affect over 200,000 people each year. Miles for Hope, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, was founded by brain cancer survivor Robert Gibbs, as a means to combat the disease. "Through our organization, patients can find information on the latest, most advanced treatment options available for the treatment of brain tumors and brain cancer." stated Gibbs. "Our mission is to raise awareness and funding for brain tumor research as well as cutting edge clinical trials leading to treatments that provide a better quality of life for brain tumor patients".
