Community Leaders to be honored by the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore
Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore will be holding its Annual Award Reception on October 28th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, NJ.
TOMS RIVER, NJ, October 21, 2010 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- For the past 26 years the Girl Scouts of Ocean County and now the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore have been honoring men and women for their personal, professional and community achievements at the Annual Award event. In 2010 the prestigious annual awards will be presented at an evening cocktail reception on October 28, 2010, 6:00-8:00 pm at Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, NJ.
At the Award Reception you will enjoy an evening of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, networking with friends and colleagues while recognizing community leaders and supporting our local Girl Scouts. Please join us for a memorable evening.
Our 2010 honorees are Shawn Michaels and Sue Moll of the Ocean County Breakfast Show on 92.7 WOBM and Tina Orth of Crossroads Realty. Every day they are making a positive difference in our community. Genuine role models like Shawn, Sue and Tina empower the girls of today to become the leaders of tomorrow.
Shawn Michaels and Sue Moll have hosted the Ocean County Breakfast Show on 92.7 WOBM for the past seven years. They have dedicated countless hours to local charities and organizations, with significant involvement with the American Cancer Society Corporate Leadership Group, Strides Against Breast Cancer, Relay for Life, United Way of Ocean County, Dottie's House and the American Red Cross Jersey Shore Chapter.
Tina Orth is past president of the Lakehurst/Manchester Rotary and vice president of the Senior Resource Alliance. She is involved with numerous charities and organizations including the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, Caregiver Volunteers, Relay for Life, Business Industrial Council, American Cancer Society and the Community Medical Center Planned Giving Committee.

The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore serve more than 16,000 girls between the ages of 5 and 17 with the help of 6,000 adult volunteers. Girl Scouts become strong women of courage, confidence and character through age-appropriate opportunities that help them develop into strong leaders. These activities allow girls to discover who they are, connect with their communities and take action to make the world a better place.
