Laila Rashid has a desire to help children in need

TORONTO, ON, CANADA, October 18, 2010 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- Laila Rashid, Executive Director of TCM Bangladesh, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in administrative operations.

As the executive director of TCM Bangladesh, Ms. Rashid specializes in developing projects and fundraising. Her responsibilities entail procuring donors and acquiring corporate sponsors. After obtaining her Master's Degree from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh, she worked as a teacher. She attributes her success to her parents' support. In the future, she intends to further develop the organization.

TCM Bangladesh is a nonprofit organization that provides financial support to the underprivileged children of Bangladesh for mainstreaming education and alternative livelihood of their parents. Despite Bangladesh's recent progress in human development in the areas of literacy, gender parity in schooling and reduction of population growth, the country continues to face several obstacles. For instance, there is a widespread political and bureaucratic corruption, economic competition relative to the world, overpopulation, widespread poverty and an increasing danger of hydrologic shocks brought on by ecological vulnerability to climate change. TCM works to help underprivileged children and their families all across the country.
