Pastor Wilbert L. Floyd Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Religious Ministry

Pastor Wilbert L. Floyd has devoted his life since the age of 12 to serving God and his fellow man.

ROOSEVELT, NY, November 11, 2010 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- Wilbert L. Floyd, Pastor of House of Blessings Christian Fellowship Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in religious ministry.

Heeding the call of God, Wilbert pledged his life to the Lord in 1967 at the age of 12. With faithfulness and much prayer Wilbert developed a relationship with God that led him to prepare himself for the work of ministry.

Brother Floyd was ordained as a minister in 1985 and ordained as an Elder in 1988. During these years of preparation he attended bible school and in 1998 he earned a Bachelor of Theology from Vision International University. In the year of 2000, Elder Wilbert Floyd once again responded to God's call and stepped out in faith, his response to God's call led to the birth of the House of Blessings Christian Fellowship Inc.

In addition to his years of working within the ministry, Mr. Floyd also worked for a local utility for 31 years. In May of 2009 he retired to focus more upon God's will for his life and to invest more of his time to building the ministry.

He recently celebrated nine years as pastor of the House of Blessings Christian Fellowship, where he relishes his responsibility of helping to building the community by spreading the Word of God. As a believer in divine healing and with a love for the Old Testament, Pastor Floyd labors to build the part of the kingdom placed in his hands through ministering, preaching, counseling, reaching out to the community, and organizing programs to aid the needy. He draws on an unwavering passion for ministry, which he shared with his late wife, Evangelist Alma L. Floyd.

He attributes the success and longevity to her support and their faith in God.
