Healthcare Executive Earns Membership With Stanford Who's Who
Lawrence J. Aldrich has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his outstanding effort in the Healthcare Industry.
TUCSON, AZ, December 18, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Lawrence J. Aldrich has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his outstanding effort in the Healthcare Industry. As President and CEO of University Physicians Healthcare, Lawrence has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
University Physicians Healthcare is a nonprofit corporation founded in 1985 as the medical practice of the physicians of The University of Arizona College of Medicine. They work together with University Physicians Hospital, the University of Arizona and University Medical Center to care for patients, educate medical students, train physicians and conduct clinical research. They are Arizona's largest physicians group with over 450 physicians, 800 nurses and over 2,000 staff.
Lawrence is responsible for various corporate departments, including Legal/Risk, Information Systems, Electronic Medical Records, Marketing/Business Development/Contracts Administration and Facilities. He is an attorney with over 25 years of proven leadership abilities in diverse business positions. Prior to his position as President and CEO of University Physicians Healthcare, Mr. Aldrich was the founding Chief Operating Officer at The Critical Path Institute. He also served as President and CEO of Tucson Newspapers.
During his educational career, Lawrence earned a Jurist Doctorate degree from Tulane University in 1977 and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1974. He is a Board Member of Uni-source Energy Corporation. Mr. Aldrich also taught Internet Business at the University of Arizona and was a White Collar Prosecutor for the United States Justice Department from 1977-1983. In addition, he performed non-profit research for the FDA.
