Shirley E. Waldron Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Human Services

Shirley E. Waldron has 12 years of experience in working with recovering addicts

    WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY, August 26, 2010 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- Shirley E. Waldron, Mental Health Consultant for Addiction Research and Treatment Corporation, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in human services.

A social worker for the last 12 years, Shirley E. Waldron is best noted for an extensive background in mental health consulting. She recently marked her fifth year with Addiction Research and Treatment Corporation, a nonprofit organization that offers treatment for chemical dependency. Working primarily in the Bushwick Heroin Addiction Program, she is entrusted with supervising 10 counselors and conducting mediations. Ms. Waldron became involved in her profession because of the influence of her relatives, many of whom built careers in healthcare. She attributes the success that she has found in the family trade to her earnest desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Ms. Waldron earned her master of social work in 1996 from Adelphi University and became a licensed social worker through the State of New York. She also holds a certification in music creative visualization and relation. Within the next five years, Ms. Waldron hopes to establish a residence for recovering addicts.
