Janice H. Blake Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals

Janice H. Blake is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals

    CEDAR HILL, TX, September 20, 2010 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- Janice H. Blake, Special Events Coordinator for Dallas LIFE, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in program organization.

Before joining Dallas LIFE, Ms. Blake coordinated special events for another nonprofit organization. Although she has only worked with her present company for three years, she has 11 years of overall experience in her position. At Dallas LIFE, she fulfills a host of responsibilities associated with managing and planning organizational events: negotiating venue and vendor contracts; designing invitations; selecting menus, music and lighting; and consulting with the media. Specifically skilled in fundraising, Ms. Blake must also manage donor relations and locate financial contributors to stand as committee underwriters.

The recipient of a Bachelor of Science in marketing and merchandising, she graduated from Texas Tech University in 1976. Affiliated with the Association of Fundraising Professionals, she donates a great deal of her free time to the Cedars Neighborhood Association. In addition, she serves as a board member for M2M (Ministry to Ministries) and the Life Savers Foundation.

The largest organization of its kind in the region, Dallas LIFE develops an array of "new life" programs that benefit the homeless community. Some of these programs concern: anger management, life skill development, alcoholism and narcotics addiction, child development, money management, and computer and resume skill-building.
