Social Services Director Joins The Stanford Who's Who Community
Stanford Who's Who welcomes Tara N. Tharpe to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her sensational work in the Social Services Industry.
ALEXANDRIA, LA, September 30, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Tara N. Tharpe to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her sensational work in the Social Services Industry. As Executive Director of Friendship House Adult Day Services Inc., Tara has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
Established in 1981, Friendship Adult Day Services Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides supervised programs and activities for adults who require a support system during the daytime hours, but can still live in their own homes or with relatives or friends. They are the only licensed adult day care center in Central Louisiana, with licensing by Louisiana's Department of Health and Hospitals.
Friendship House was founded by Church Women United of Central Louisiana and is now administered by a community-wide board of directors. The organization adheres to the Standards for Adult Day Care, prepared by The National Adult Day Services Association, a partner with the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.
Tara is responsible for managing all major aspects of the organization as well as supervising the staff. She has an extraordinary ability in assuring the health and wellbeing of participants. During her educational career, Tara earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Services from Northwestern State University. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
