It's a Party! League of Women Voters of Bergen County to Celebrate 91st Birthday & Women's History Month

The League of Women Voters of Bergen County invites the public to celebrate the League's 91st birthday and Women's History Month on Sunday, March 13, 2-4 p.m., at the Park Ridge Community Center, 53 Park Avenue, Park Ridge, New Jersey.

LEONIA, NJ, March 13, 2011 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- The League of Women Voters of Bergen County invites members and friends to celebrate the League's 91st birthday and Women's History Month on Sunday, March 13, 2 to 4 p.m., at the Park Ridge Community Center, 53 Park Avenue, Park Ridge, New Jersey. The entrance to the library on the lower level should be used.

A representative from the New Jersey League of Women Voters' board of directors will attend. At last year's event, celebrants reviewed the League's proud history and accomplishments. As the League approaches the century mark, the organization seeks guests' ideas to create future plans and goals.

In observance of Women's History Month, admission to the event is to choose a woman in history that the guest admires and believes deserves recognition. Possible contenders may include foremothers who fought for suffrage or a "first woman" in any field. Dressing in character is optional, but always adds to the fun. If questioned about a specific selection, guests are asked to be prepared and offer a brief explanation.

For further information about the celebration or to RSVP, contact Lucy Heller, President, League of Women Voters of Bergen County at 201-391-5617 or lucyheller@optonline.
