Optimist International President Presents 'Bringing Out the Best' Award to Zappos.com Inc. CEO Tony Hsieh
Zappos CEO and author of Delivering Happiness to Receive Special Honor at
Zappos Headquarters in Las Vegas
ST. LOUIS, MO, April 23, 2011 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- The international president of Optimist International, one of the world's largest service organizations, is presenting a "Bringing Out the Best" Award to Tony Hsieh at the Zappos Headquarters on April 26 in Las Vegas.
"Tony's book, Delivering Happiness, sparked a happiness movement that exemplifies our Optimist Creed," Optimist International President Danny Rodgers said. "Our creed says to 'look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true,' which is what Delivering Happiness is all about. It inspires others."
The "Bringing Out the Best" Award is given at the Optimist president's discretion and recognizes individuals who exemplify the Optimist Creed through their commitment to helping others and spreading optimism.
"It's an honor to present Tony with this award. We hope the award finds a home at Zappos and encourages others to share optimism," Rodgers said.
The award will be presented along with a Friend of Optimists membership. The Friend of Optimists membership is for individuals to show their support for Optimist International and can be bestowed on an individual who has contributed to their community in a significant way.
