Brain Tumor Patient Walks Across America With Two Brain Tumors to Raise Awareness and Funds For Miles For Hope

CLEARWATER, FL, May 15, 2011 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- Harold Cameron, a Scranton native living with two benign brain tumors, started his 18-month journey across America in April to raise funds for Miles For Hope, a brain tumor charity dedicated to funding research leading to safe and effective treatments for brain cancer.

"I am most excited about the opportunity to share a message of hope, the message that you can live life to the fullest, regardless of your circumstances," said Cameron, who is walking with an Acoustic Neuroma and a Meningioma. "I have been given a great gift. I am able to share the good news of how having faith in God, a love for God and others, and having hope can radically transform a person's life. It has mine."

Cameron kicked off his walk in his hometown of Scranton, PA on April 2nd. He walked through Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. Cameron will continue south to Florida, then travel southwest towards California. His path will turn up to Washington state, then travel back east to Maine with the walk being completed in Scranton, PA.

While on the campaign trail, Cameron is promoting his newly-released book, Why I Walk. In the book Cameron shares his passion for walking, his faith in God, and his hope for others. Why I Walk is available for purchase and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Miles For Hope.
