Microenterprises Literacy set by American Hope Charities

May 06, 2011 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- American Hope Charities (AHC), a Bellflower, research-based charitable organization, is kicking off its Microenterprises and Early Financial Literacy Program, including provision of teacher classroom supplies for local elementary schools, with a star-studded Breakfast on Saturday, June 25, 2011, in honor of its keynote speaker, Apostle Alex Mitala of Uganda, East Africa.

Apostle Alex Mitala, founder of Back to the Bible Truth School (BBT), is successfully educating, training and empowering orphaned, needy youth, widows and single mothers, to create their own businesses and become self-reliant financially, emotionally, and spiritually. He and his wife have rescued and supported over 2,900 children.

BBT's direction toward self-reliance through education and early financial literacy strikes a chord with AHC's vision for elementary public school children living in Bellflower and Lakewood. Along with strategic partners, AHC is working to create curriculum that meets state standards, and strategies that will equip and enable our children--the future of our society--to look forward to establishing their own businesses and careers, ensuring a future economic climate that will consist of service to the community by harnessing their inherently individual talents into concrete enterprises.

AHC further intends to track these financial and social impacts through documentary films which will be shown world-wide.

Invited to the June 25th breakfast are, among others, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson, Cristina McConnell, President, Bellflower Chamber of Commerce, and Steven Williams, Vice President, Universal Studios.
