The Alzheimer's Association of Orange County will host its 2011 gala, "An Affair to Remember: On Safari" to raise money and awareness in the fight against Alzheimer's.
IRVINE, CA, May 25, 2011 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- The Alzheimer's Association of Orange County will host its 2011 gala, "An Affair to Remember: On Safari" to raise raise money and awareness in the fight against Alzheimer's. The event will be held at the Rancho Las Lomas in Silverado Canyon on June 4 at starting at 5 p.m.
Guests will tour Rancho Las Lomas' permanent exotic animal collection from around the world. The venue's exquisite gardens interspersed with majestic creatures make for an unparalleled wildlife experience. Guests will also enjoy entertainment and sophisticated campsite dining under the stars.
The evening will be presented by Dorothy A. Dougher of Laguna Hills Estates, in memory of Gerard J. Dougher, and by the Argyros Family Foundation, in memory of Olga Argyros.

We cannot let Alzheimer's disease be the legacy we leave for generations to follow."
Special guest entertainer for the evening will be Susan Egan. On Broadway, Egan starred in the title role of "Thoroughly Modern Millie;" won critical acclaim as Broadway's longest-running 'Sally Bowles' in Cabaret;" and most notably, received both Tony Award and Drama Desk nominations for "Best Actress" as the original 'Belle' in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast."
Some of the auction items that will be available include transportation by private jet to Napa with a private guesthouse, a relaxing week in picturesque Languedoc, France, (private cottage for two provided, of course), and other favorites like a Broadway Escape to New York and dining at five star restaurants.
