New York Restaurants To Battle For Bragging Rights As Top Caribbean Eatery

New York's Caribbean restaurants will go head-to head for the title of Best Caribbean Restaurant at the city's inaugural COOK UP NYC, proceeds are to benefit Nourishing NYC.

    NEW YORK, NY, August 14, 2011 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- New York's Caribbean restaurants will go head-to head for the title of Best Caribbean Restaurant at the city's inaugural COOK UP NYC, proceeds are to benefit Nourishing NYC. Bromography.com announced today. Caribbean organizations throughout the city have joined together to host the cook off, which will take place later this year.
Caribbean cuisine offers a rich tapestry of flavor which is often overlooked by New York's wider culinary community. Cook Up NYC will recognize the delicious offerings of New York's vibrant Caribbean community and share their efforts with a broader audience.
The finalists will be determined by a public nomination and voting process, which is now open to all New Yorkers at http://www.cookupnyc.com. The finalist restaurants will be announced October 31st. Tickets for the all-you-can-eat final event will become available on November 1st. Proceeds from the event will be used by the host organization to support the mission of Nourishing NYC..
The Cook Up NYC winner will be determined by a team of esteemed judges, to be announced in October. They will evaluate the restaurants' offerings based on flavor, portability and personality.
