Boys and Girls Clubs of North Central Texas Receive $15,000.00 Grant From Denton-South Rotary Club

Grant to be used to help more local at-risk youth become members of Club

    LAKE DALLAS, TX, November 16, 2011 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- The Boys and Girls Clubs of North Central Texas announced today they have received a grant in the amount of $15,000.00 from the Denton-South Rotary Club. The grant will used to offer free memberships to at-risk youth in Denton County, Texas.

"We are absolutely thrilled that the Denton-South Rotary provided us this grant", stated Babs Troutman, President of the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Central Texas. "The Rotary's generosity will provide us the opportunity to reach out to more local youth and provide our after school programs", Troutman said. According to Troutman, the grant will be used to make available memberships to the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Central Texas to at least 50 children.

Glen McKenzie, President of the Denton-South Rotary, presented the check to Troutman at the first annual Boys and Girls Clubs of North Central Texas Party of Hope. "Denton South Rotary is pleased that through the support of the community we were able to donate the $15,000 grant to the Boys and Girls Club of North Central Texas to help the children in our area", stated McKenzie.
