Glen Allen-Ankins Earns Membership With Stanford Who's Who
Stanford Who's Who announces the addition of Glen Allen-Ankins to the distinguished ranks of leading professionals as a result of his outstanding effort in the community.
GRANGE, QLD, AUSTRALIA, November 4, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who announces the addition of Glen Allen-Ankins to the distinguished ranks of leading professionals as a result of his outstanding effort in the community. As General Manager of Guide Dogs Queensland, as well as throughout his brilliant professional career, Glen has consistently displayed the passion and perseverance necessary to be successful in the business world.
Established in 1960, Guide Dogs Queensland has been helping to "equip, empower and educate" blind and vision impaired Queenslanders, of all ages, with a wide range of top-quality orientation and mobility services. Their services include guide dog training and placement; white cane training; electronic travel aids training; community and professional education workshops; mobility programs for vision impaired and blind children; and counseling by their own staff Psychologist.
Guide Dogs Queensland is the only service provider in Queensland that offers this complete range of rehabilitation services, and they have seven regional offices at Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Toowoomba and on the Gold and Sunshine coasts. Due to a lack of government funding, the company relies on the generosity of individuals, corporate sponsors and people who leave a bequest in their Will so that they can continue to fund our vital work.
Glen is responsible for managing all major aspects of the organization as well as overseeing the daily operations. During his collegiate career, he earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Not-for-profit Organization. Glen is a member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia.
