HopeLine, Inc. Announces Three New Board Members and Secretary

HopeLine, Inc. appoints Lauren Brown, Nicolette Baglio, Yancy Strickland to BOD; Deidre Hughey as Secretary

    RALEIGH, NC, November 30, 2011 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- HopeLine, Inc., a Triangle-based nonprofit providing free suicide prevention and crisis intervention help through its 24-hour crisis line and Teen TalkLine, announced today it has added three new members to its Board of Directors and elected Deidre Hughey as secretary.

The new members of the HopeLine Board of Directors are:

Lauren Brown, assistant account executive at S&A Cherokee, a full-service communications firm in Cary, N.C. Lauren has worked with a multitude of nonprofits in the past and brings with her experience in public relations, communications and nonprofit event management.

Nicolette Baglio, owner/principal at ProAnnecto, Inc., an independent management consulting firm in Raleigh, N.C. Nicolette has a background in sales, marketing and business strategy, and previously served as the marketing manager for Pretty in Pink Foundation, another local nonprofit.

Yancy Strickland, owner/principal at Strickland Consulting, an independent consulting firm catering specifically to nonprofit organizations. Yancy has more than 15 years of fundraising, communications and nonprofit leadership experience.

The newly-elected secretary of the board, Deidre Hughey, is a personal empowerment speaker and author of the book, "I AM Bound and Determined: The Must Read Guide for Women of Childhood Abuse and Trauma." Deidre has served on HopeLine's Board of Directors since August 2010.
Current board members who will continue to serve in 2012 include: Beth Donner (president), Mike Outlaw (vice president), Connie Stock (treasurer), Nicholle Karim and Dr. Willa J. Casstevens, LCSW.
