SUNNYBANK, AUSTRALIA December 2, 2011 /Nonprofit PR News/ --Janeth Deen has joined the prestigious members of Stanford Who's Who, as she is continually recognized for her charitable contributions to the community. As President of the Queensland Muslim Welfare Association, Janeth exemplifies compassion and empathy, as she extends services to the underprivileged population in Brisbane.
Founded from one of the pillars of Islam, the Queensland Muslim Welfare Association has a committee comprised of a variety of faiths, working to aid the less fortunate regardless of religious beliefs. The Welfare Shop does not provide paid employment, but refers people to prospective employers when jobs arise in the community. The organization was assembled in Woodridge, a predominately poverty-stricken area with a large native population. Despite the abundance of disadvantaged close to home, the organization extends their services to all people of the world during times of need.
Janeth has held a variety of positions throughout her compelling career, beginning as a clerk typist, secretary and later a debtor account manager for Elders, Australia's largest wool broker. Janeth utilized her persistence and interminable work ethic to earn a Bachelors Degree and a Graduate Diploma of Teaching, all while working a full time job and raising five teenage children. Following her innate aspirations to help others, Janeth spent 20 years teaching the youth of Queensland, continuing to found the Welfare Shop upon her retirement.
Janeth is the Co-Founder and President of the Queensland Muslim Historical Society Inc. since its formation in 2008. She also stands as the lone woman Trustee for the Muslim Charitable Foundation and Secretary of the Queensland Multi-Cultural Council. With a lifetime of extraordinary accomplishments, Janeth reaches her 70 year mark in 2012, planning future years of active community and family involvement.
