Melonese N. Brookins Recognized for Dedication to Nonprofit Organization Management

Melonese Brookins provides mentoring services for African American male teens

    OLYMPIA FIELDS, IL, September 19, 2011 /Nonprofit PR News/ -- Melonese N. Brookins, Executive Director of Tomorrow's Men NFP, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nonprofit organization management.

Ms. Brookins has devoted her career to working with youth. While working as a Board Member for Rich Township District 227, she identified the need for mentoring services within her community. For the past three years, she has served as the Executive Director of Tomorrow's Men NFP, a nonprofit organization that provides mentoring services for African-American male teens, with a focus on shaping the character of those young men. Ms. Brookins hopes to see her organization expand in the years to come; she plans to build revenue and increase programming.

Ms. Brookins' compassion for others extends into all areas of her life. She volunteers with the South Suburban Cultural and Enrichment Organization, which puts on an annual Cotillion/Beautillion. Ms. Brookins also volunteers as well as a Big Sister for her church's mentoring group, Wings. In 2010, she was recognized as "A Phenomenal Women in the Community", based on her service to others. Ms. Brookins holds a BA in Business and a MHA in Health Administration from Governors State University.
